A Fall Road Trip to see the Lakes of Vermont

Autumn is the best time of the year for a Vermont road trip because the fall foliage is unbelievable..  Check in at the Willoughvale Inn on Lake Willoughby and enjoy a great meal and a drink in Gil's Grill.  Start your trip the next day and head north from nearby Westmore VT, you head north for a short half hour drive to Newport VT.

                                               LAKE WILLOUGHBY

WOW, the beautiful fall foliage along the roadside is amazing!  Newport is located on beautiful Lake Memphremagog.  A brief stop for some photos and some unforgettable sightseeing.

                                            LAKE MEMPHREMAGOG

Leaving Newport and Lake Memphremagog, we head west toward Lake Champlain.  The largest lake in Vermont, spanning into Canada and to northern New York state.  We arrive in the Lake Champlain region after a beautiful two hour drive across Vermont.  Arriving in the St. Albans Bay area, we settle in for more great lake side sightseeing and a fantastic lunch.

                                                  LAKE CHAMPLAIN

Heading back east it is a 3 1/2 hour ride surrounded by the beautiful color show of the Autumn leaves.  Back at the Willoughvale Inn settle in for a nightcap and a look at your photos of some memories that will last a life time.  Off in the morning for some fishing on Lake Willoughby or your next adventure.
